Silky sands, gleaming seas and a relaxing, attractive village - what else would you need for a peaceful holiday in heavenly Menorca?
Peace and tranquility is not hard to find in Binisafua because it's all over. Skirting the southern coast of Menorca's, there's not a thing concerning this village of palm scattered streets and red roof villas that is even slightly noisy or invasive.
This is due to the fact that the most prominent features here are the private villa pools or the beaches. And talk about beaches! You will not be let down easily. A small sweeping curve of velvety sand caught inbetween low, pine topped cliffs, it is superb for soaking up the sun and snorkelling in the crystal seas. Take a book, lilo and coolbag and you will be set for the day.
Yet, if you tire of the same old beach each day, there will not be an issue. One of the wonders of Binisafua is that you are by no means faraway from a seemingly prettier, better, quieter beach than one before. Wander just around the coastline either side of the village and you will find a parade of gorgeous, white sandy bays nestled between sweet pine trees and sapphire waters.
When you long for something more upbeat, the close by white-washed village of Binibeca Vell answers with its delightful cobblestone lanes overflowing with shops and restaurants. Expand your explorations to original Binibeca, an image of white set above beautifu rocky coves. And for a real day out, visit Mahon, the island's scenic capital.
No matter what the day offers, you will be grateful for the tranquility of Binisafau when you return. Get the most from it by dining 'al fresco' in the various restaurants, with the candlelight and chatter merging perfectly as one beneath the brilliant Menorcan moonlight.
